In the evening of 30/9/2004, Mrs. Chocho Hoa, the ambassadress of the People Republic of China, and her husband gave a reception in Al-Nobala Palace in Damascus on the occasion of the fifty-fifth anniversary of the People Republic of China foundation.
The reception was attended by : Mr. Abdullah Al-Ahmar, the assistant secretary-general of the Baath Arab Socialist Party; Dr. Mahmoud Al-Abrash , head of the Parliament; Mrs. Wisal Farha Bakdash, secretary-general of the Syrian Communist Party; Mr. Ahmad Al-Ahmad, secretary-general of the Arab Socialist Movement; Mr. Mohammad Nihad Moshanshat, minister of housing and construction; Mr. Ahmad Al-Hasan, Minister of information; Mr. Yosef Solaiman Al-Ahmad, minister of state for administrative development Affairs; Mr. Mohammad Shabban Azzoz, head of the general Federation of trade Unions; Dr. Khalil Moshhadiah, secretary of Damascus party branch; Dr.En. Bashar Al-Mofti, Damascus governor ; a number of Parliament members; deputy ministers; senior officials in the party and state; a number of businessmen; social, political and party activities; information and journalism officials and other guests.
The reception was also attended by members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Damascus, bodies representatives and the United Nation international agencies in Syria.
