Assistant secretary general of the Baath Arab Socialist Party, Abdullah al-Ahmar, discussed on 15.11.2006 with secretary general of the Jordanian Citizen's Rights Party "Humat" Dr. Yacob Keswani and the accompanying delegation the situation in the region and the repercussions of the Israeli continued occupation of the Arab territories, as well as, its aggression on the Palestinian people.
The two sides confirmed their adherence to the Arab principles and rights, and upholding the resistance so as to end the occupation. They asserted, as well, the importance of enhancing the national unity to face the Israeli schemes that aim at eliminating the Palestinian issue.
They underlined, also, the importance of an efficient Arab move in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and implementing the international legitimacy resolutions to establish the Palestinian independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and maintain the right of return to the Palestinian refugees.
For his Part, Dr. Keswani expressed his Party's appreciation to Syria and her leadership's stances in facing the aggression, committing to the national principles and defending the Arab rights.
