On 25/ 12 /2006 Assistant Secretary General of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Abdulah al-Ahmar and the Yemeni vice president General. Abedrabouh Mansour Al-Hadi discussed the relationships between al-Baath and the Yemeni popular conference party .
Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the Arab region, particularly the situation in Palestine, in Iraq and Lebanon.
Al-Ahmar indicated that a foreign pressure against Syria is targeting the entire Arab nation not only a certain Arab country.
He pointed to the Syria's support to the Palestinian people's steadfastness in order to restore their full rights of the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the return of the refugees.
He also stressed Syria's stand by the political process in Iraq in order to reach an end to the occupation of Iraq and restoration of the Iraqi sovereignty.
Al-Hadi in his turn, expressed his appreciation to Syria's stances asserting on Yemen's interested of making the best relations with Syria in different fields.
