On 4 /8/ 2007 Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Mohammad Said Bkhaitan met the leadership of branches of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party in Hama.
In a party meeting in Hama, Bkheitan stated that President Bashar al-Assad has clarified the course of action regarding internal and external issues in his oath-taking speech, and that the Regional Leadership has devised a preliminary plan for implementing that course of action. And he asserted on the necessity of boosting the party work.
He affirmed that Syria will remain the prime defender of national causes despite all circumstances, attacks and pressures.
Bkheitan also pointed out to the party's role in guaranteeing the nation's unity and future in the face of challenges and external pressures that target the nation's interests, stating that the party's agenda focuses on social services and the enhancement of the role of public and charity organizations in the development process.
