On the morning of 23/1/2008, Comrade Mohamed Saaid Bekhetan the assistant regional secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party confirmed during Tartus branch annual conference, that Syria faced the ugliest and the most violent hegemony, And in a direct incurrence of American project in the region during the last three years after Iraq occupation.
But after strategic view of Mr. president Bashar al Assad , and the coherence between the leader and his people , which enables to frustrate all conspiracies and exterior plans .
Bekhetan said that Iraq occupation is concluding its fifth year, without accomplished its aims, similar to the situation in Afghanistan and other places.
The occupation is also trying to make Lebanon another base with the help of its tools and assistants, adding that Syria leads the resistant of Arab project against Israeli American project in the region confirming that the American project in Lebanon will fail as it failed before in another places, and the internationalization is setting aside because of its bases deficiency on the land, in addition to its non calculated results.
He adds that there is no need to worry or fear politically or economically about Syria, and our positions are intact and incoherence with people interest, nation issues and national concepts under the patronage of the wise and brave leader
