Comrade Abdullah Al.Ahmar, the Assistant Secretary General of the Baath Arab Socialist Party received Mr. Ahmad Muhammad Al.Asbahi , the Assistant Secretary General of the Public Popular Congress in Yemeni Republic , and the accompanied delegation on 11/12/2003 .
The discussion during the meeting was about the relationships between the two Parties and the dominant situations in the region , especially, the extermination that the Palestinian people face in the occupied territories, and the situation in Iraq , thus, the importance of activating and mobilizing the Arab position to assume the Arab lands and rights . There was, also, an emphasis on the role of the two Parties in consolidating the relations of brotherhood and cooperation between Syria and Yemen.
They also confirmed the Arab Nation aims in realizing progress, uplifting and resorting her role in the region.
Dr.Asbahi expressed Yemeni respect and pride to the Syrian national positions that embody the Arab will and ambition, in addition, to their defending of the Arab Nation dignity and rights, and supporting the Arab brothers in Yemen and other Arab countries.
In a declaration to the Syrian Arab News Agency reporter, Dr. Asbahi expressed his happiness of visiting Syria, which happened to complete the previous visits that embody the close relationship between the two Parties and the two countries under the wise patronage of President Bashar Al.Assad and President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
