On 1/11/2016, The Embassy of the Algerian People's Democratic Republic held a reception in Damascus on the occasion of the 62nd Anniversary of the Liberation Revolution outbreak.
The ceremony was attended by Comrade Abdullah al-Ahmar, the Assistant Secretary General of the BASP, the speaker of the People's Assembly, Hadiah Abbas, the Vice President of the National Progressive Front, Omran Al-Zoubi,
Member of the Regional Leadership of the Baath Party, Abdul Muti Mashlab, and the Political and Media Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Bothainah Shaaban, the Minister of Industry, Ahmad al-Hamo, the Minister of Economy and External Trade, Dr. Adib Mayalah and Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Faysal al-Mekdad.
The Algerian ambassador in Damascus, Saleh Boucheh emphasized the standing of Algeria by Syria in fighting terrorism. He pointed out that it is everyone's duty to support the efforts that are made to end the crisis that affected Syria's security and stability. He also pointed to the efforts that aim at activating the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all areas.
The ceremony included photograph gallery that embodied the suffering of the Algerian people and the state of misery that prevailed during the French colonialism, and photographs of the Algerian Revolution fighters.
